Kerri sent a message to Michael L. Corbat CEO, Citigroup Inc. – email address that said:
Dear Michael,
Several years ago I secured student loans through Citibank to help finance my college education. Unfortunately, after college I fell on hard times and defaulted on these loans... which were eventually charged off by Citibank.
I have since recovered financially and I am in the process of purchasing my first home. As part of this process, I paid off the two outstanding Citibank loans in full today, but was told that I need to wait 15 days for Citibank to provide me with a letter/receipt showing that the two loans were paid off.
I am reaching out to you for assistance to hopefully secure this letter as soon as possible, as this is the remaining step I need to complete for my mortgage approval. I understand that my financial situation is of my own doing, but any assistance you can offer in securing this letter would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Kerri
