Dear Mike,
We are a FCA group dealer in India. We are based in a city called Kolhapur and have our dealership run for last two years. Earlier our partner was running a Mitsubishi Motors dealership.
My purpose to write to you is to figure out of your company would be interested to join hands for a distribution business for FCA group in India.
The new business plan of the company includes the launch of
- Jeep models in India with a huge manufacturing base in India already in place.
- New models of sub 4 meter SUV and a three box sedan in the Fiat brand.
- Abarth models to be expanded in the business model in India
We are looking at a JV partner because the Jeep business will certainly be a huge business spinner and we believe that if we are able to get a partner we would be able to build this dealer business in at least three cities.
In the longer run we believe that FCA will have a substantial growth in their business in India and we have a fairly good connect with the FCA team in India to explore growth opportunities.
I wrote this mail to express my interest to have a meeting on this subject in my scheduled visit to the US this month in the later half.
