Dear Mr. Akio Toyoda,
Greetings from Dubai. I know you are a very busy person and this email might look too silly for you. But since I am not getting justice from the local dealer, I am forced to write to you. I bought a Toyota Fortuner 2012 model. After 2 years I found that the clear coat applied on the fibre piece on all the four sides started coming off like fish scales. I approached the local distributor Al Futtaim and their reply was since I had not taken the maintainence contract with the company, I am not eligible for any claims even though they accept that it is a manufacturing defect. My question is how the paint comes under service warranty. if the engine or gear bix breaks down, yes... you can say that I am not eligible as I am not part of the service contract.
Mr. CEO.. I had a belief of the Toyota vehicles that it is manufactured to the highest standards. infact I also noticed that , this is not the problem with my car alone. I had seen the similar problem in many 2012 model vehicles.
I hope you will look into the matter and I receive a favorable response for my concern.
