John Potbury sent a message to Gerard M. Anderson - Chief Executive Officer of DTE Energy Company - Email Address that said:

Dear Mr. Anderson, I became a customer of DTE on July 30th when I purchased a vacation home in East Tawas. I have tried repeatedly and unsuccessfully to register an account online with DTE so that I could set up auto payments and access my DTE account information online. Apparently, from what Ive been told, due to recent system upgrades of some sort, it has affected DTEs entire computer system so that some customers are having a difficult time trying to set up online access. In 2017, this is unacceptable, in my opinion. I have received my second monthly bill via email but, I am unable to pay for it online due to the inability to set up an online account. To clarify, I have registered but, I cannot login. Yesterday, your customer service worked with me on this problem to no resolve. They dis-enrolled my registration and said I will have to make do with paper billing. They were going to send in a work order for your IT department.
