Dear Mr. Auld,
I purchased a DR Horton home back in July 2015. In anticipation of the one year anniversary, I contacted an independent inspector to go through my house in May 2016. The inspector sent me a 70+ page inspection report, complete with pictures. I then sent a copy of my inspection report via the warranty services website. I was texting Brandon Patterson, the only DR Horton representative I knew, every week. Brandon finally showed up. I gave him a copy of the report, we discussed what really needed to get done, and he said he would get right on it. I again started texting him weekly. On July 13, 2016, I sent a second warranty repair to DR Horton and called Brandon. He did return my call saying, submit the report again, that they had a few girls quit and Michelle was 1 1/2 weeks behind. I continued texting him weekly. It is now 7 months after my one year anniversary, and I have had absolutely nothing completed from my list. I heard that Brandon is no longer in charge of this area; and was told by a DR Horton representative, that its my fault, because I didnt bug everybody enough. DR Horton is building houses all around me, but no one can take a few hours to repair what needs to be done, and rightly deserve to have completed. Sir, I am a teacher that has worked hard for every cent I have earned. I am also a widow, I always felt that you could get more bees with honey, but right now I am in the process of making signs... Do Not Buy DR Horton Homes to place on my front and side lawns, because the new model home is right next door. I am beyond frustrated. I am new to the area, so am in the process of securing a lawyer, which is ludicrous, that I have to take it this far. I am at my wits end.
