Suzanne sent a message to Douglas Blonsky- President and CEO of the Central Park Conservancy email address that said:
Dear Mr. Blonsky,
It has come to my and my husband's attention that one of the Conservancy employees who we have gotten to know over the past few years is being relocated because someone complained about her. Her name is Teresa Markham.
I hope it is not too late to compliment this employee and the man she works with, Angel Corbettâ¦two people who keep their area of the park clean and beautiful. They are always raking or planting or trimming. They talk excitedly about what bulbs are going in, how trees are being saved and what the refurbished playground will look like. They are proud of what theyve accomplished over the years in their part of the park.
They are animal lovers and our dog looks for and squeals in delight when she sees either of them (or their carts!) I have also seen them remind people who are riding their bikes on the paths or walking their dogs off the leash that these are no-nos. They do it gently and respectfully. They supervise volunteers who also get amazing projects done every Thursday.
We are surprised that anyone would complain about either of these employees who seem to enjoy their jobs and working in Central Park so much. Our familys experience has been just the opposite.
Sincerely,
Lamberg
