Mangal sent a message to Joseph H. Boardman CEO, Amtrak that said:
Dear Mr Boardman,
Given the recent news of the crash in Philadelphia. I don't think the extra premium that Amtrak charges for it's services is justifiable. It costs $170 dollars to take a acela train from Boston to New York that isn't safe which lacks safety technology. Flying is cheaper and there are other options like the bus which is significantly cheaper. As a medical student, I have taken amtrak a few times and paid the premium to try the experience and realized I didn't save much time.
