Dear Mr. Boardman,I recently traveled Amtrak round trip from Orllando to Philadelphia and back – Joseph Boardman email address

Robert sent a message to Joseph H. Boardman CEO, Amtrak that said:

Dear Mr. Boardman,

I recently traveled Amtrak round trip from Orllando to Philadelphia and back on July 8 and 13th 2015 via Roomette. I love Amtrak and the dedication of its employees; however, the elimination of the dining car has taken away the experience of the journey where passengers can interact with fellow passengers along the way while enjoying great meals served by dedicated staff. I fear that in the long run, folks will abandon travel by train and any costs savings will be erased. The snack car food is processed and tastes horrible. I would only hope going forward that management will solicit feedback on this pilot program and consider reinstating the full dining experience on long distance trains in January 2016. The cost of $691.50 is an unreasonable price to pay for basic meals of processed food which is expensive. Also, it would be nice if all long distance trains incuded a site seeing car for passengers.

Sincerely,

Bob
