John and Juanita sent a message to Brian C. Cornell Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Target Corporation – email address that said:
Dear Mr. Cornell,
We respectfully protest Target's decision to make all the restrooms available to anyone regardless of their anatomical gender.
We respect people's right to live as they choose unless it infringes on the safety of others. This decision makes it difficult for anyone to use a restroom in a public place. I am very concerned for the wellbeing of our grandchildren.
We noticed there is a restroom in our local Target store in Hamilton, Ohio which provides a restroom for either sex to use and we feel this accommodates those who identify with the sex differing from their birth.
Because of this corporate decision we have decided we will longer shop at Target even though it is a lovely store and very convenient to us.
