Mary and Harold Trant III. sent a message to William J. DeLaney, III Chief Executive Officer of Sysco Corporation Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Delaney, My name is Mary Trant. My husband and I own Tony's Italian Delicatessen in Conroe TX and have been utilizing your products. I am emailing you to ask for your assistance. When we first opened Tony's, we were purchasing 3000.-4000 a week on your products. We are down to 1400-1800 a week now, due to higher priced items and issues we have had with your area manager, Rick and previously, Rhonda. As a professional business person, anytime my employee commits an error, it reflects on all of us at our deli, not just him. However, every time we contacted Rick or Rhonda with missing product that was not delivered or damaged items, they always blamed the driver or the warehouse. Never did they claim "we" will fix it. Rick always came in to complain about how there are too many changes and that is and new people mess up. So, when we received our survey, we were honest, just as I would want our customers to be so that we can fix the issue(s). However, since your survey, and recently another phone call to Rick and his boss Jennifer about missing product that is crucial for our everyday operations, we were cut from 4 day a week deliveries to 2 day a week deliveries, and this was done with very little notice, not even a week notice. To top it off , we werent even told when these deliveries would be. Now, we might just be a small business and possibly small change in your pocket, but I dont believe you, a successful business man would disregard something like this. I tried calling last week to speak to you and I was told by the secretary that she was warned that we would call by Jennifer and that she would pass my message on to you. Either you busy and havent been able to contact me or my message was deleted. I have contacted other food suppliers as a back up, in the event that I cannot resolve this with Sysco as we need our products to operate. Please contact us so that we can know when our products will be delivered and how do we fix this 2 day delivery issue. I know Sysco is out here Monday-Friday as I see them pass by my restaurant Mon-Friday for other businesses.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience. I don't know what information you are being given, but I have learned that if I want to know what the problem is, I get to the source and not the messenger.
Thank you Mr. Delaney, and I look forward to speaking with you .
Mary and Harold
