Dear Mr
How are you sir, I hope you are well and happy this Holiday Season. My friends and I grew up with JC Penney and we like it;we want to see it continue and prosper. We are glad that an Extremely Intelligent, Competent, Dynamic Gentleman like yourself is now CEO!! We learned about some of the changes you made such as grouping products near other products that would be part of the Individual's Outfit (example: placing men's shoes next to men's clothing, and placing women's jewelry next to womens clothing). My Friends and I have long thought that type of approach would be prudent and profitable. However my Friends and I would take that approach a few steps further. I remember that when I was younger, going to the mall and JC Penney was an EXCITING, INSPIRING, almost MAGICAL ADVENTURE-----it was ENTERTAINING! We could NOT Wait to get to the Mall; the Mall was our Fun!! That was because much like Disney World, Broadway Shows, The NYC Christmas Windows of Lord Tailor, Saks Fifth Avenue, etc.; the Malls and Stores worked at creating a Creative Inspiring Vision and executed it like a Theatrical Production. The Clothes, Accessories, Jewelry, Baggage, and other Products were all part of and Major Features in that Theatrical Vision of Life that they Created using Mannequins and Other Display Devices. This propaganda sounds silly but basically I my Friends, my Associates, we all ENVIED some of those Mannequins and wanted the type of Lifestyle those Mannequins depicted, so we coveted their Clothes and their other Products-----and WE BOUGHT THOSE PRODUCTS!!
In recent years, I noticed that JC Penney's Mannequins are Nondescript; they do NOT look like REAL PEOPLE, so they are NOT ENVIABLE, so why would I want to buy their Clothes and their Other Products. I cannot ENVISION myself wearing those Clothes, because they are NOT featured on Human-looking Mannequins. Sir, I heard that you experiment in the Frisco Store, it's smart to experiment. I suggest that at a few JC Penney Stores in different parts of the Country, you try-out Dynamic, HUMAN-LOOKING MANNEQUINS to display Clothes along with Other JC Penney Products. I suggest that these Mannequins:
1. Be Attractive with shiny Stylish Hair. You may want to use Bald Mannequins and simply Velcro-on WIGS (some of which can be styled by your Salons) for VARETY and to ADVERTISE YOUR SALONS. Female Mannequins should have MAKE-UP PAINTED-ON at the factory. If the Mannequin Skin is a matte paint finish, you may be able to paint to enhance and add variety to the Mannequins Faces, such as watercolor eyeshadow, or nail polish lipstick, or various nail polish nail colors.
2. Be Dynamic, Malleable, Moveable, Easily Repositioned.
The Mannequins should be able to be Repositioned to depict various HUMAN BEHAVIORS, ACTIVITIES, EMOTIONS, ATTITUDES, CONDITIONS, etc. The Mannequins are to Help People ENVISION the type of LIFE they can have if they BUY the JC PENNEY PRODUCTS that the Mannequins are Wearing and Displaying; because generally People BUY PRODUCTS to Positively Impact their Lives in some Desirable Way
