Mary sent a message to Mark Fields – President and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company email address that said:
Dear Mr. fields: October2011 my husband and I purchased a F-150 Super crew cab 4 wheel drive truck. We have driven Volvos all of our marriage but we agreed that the Ford truck was built "Ford tough" and would be a great truck. It has 37000 miles on the engine. We need a set of tires already!! Last week we got a warning message that the advance trac system needed service. The advance trac had to be replaced! Also the passenger side speaker needed to be replaced. I was leary about buying an American made vehicle but my husband wanted this truck. I am very disappointed in the service needs of our truck . Ithas been treated like a child, service on time exactly and never abused. I now believe it is just another car that isn't expected to last like our 5 Volvos. I hope that you take each and every comment from your Ford purchasers with honest concern and passion. I expect to receive a response from you regarding my feelings about our vehicle. While all repairs were covered under our extended warranty which we paid $7200 for at the time of purchase. I can only imagine what repairs will be needed when the warranty expires.
