Christopher sent a message to Dennis R. Glass – President and Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln National Corporation – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Glass,
For over a year now my mother, Lysa Philipson, has been trying to retire on disability due to the numerous autoimmune diseases that has hindered her ability to perform tasks in a working environment. She spends most of the day in bed and some days she can barely move at all. Her symptoms have been confirmed and corroborated buy numerous doctors who have all agreed she is is no shape to ever be able to work again. Yet your company, through which her disability insurance is with, has refused to provide her with any benefits even though the federal government has declared her legally disabled and provided her with Social Security benefits. you company has done nothing but filibuster and use delay tactics to deny her retirement benefits. because of the egregious actions of your company my family has barely been able to make ends meet and are faced with the possibility of starvation and homelessness if something doesn't happen soon. You should be ashamed that your company cares more about the bottom line then the well being of your clients! while we continue to struggle to afford food and housing, I ask that you take action on our part and see that something gets done about this. the fact that my mother, Lysa Philipson, was declared legally disabled should have been enough for you. but apparently it wasn't.
I look forward to your response,
best,
Christopher
I currently work over 40 hours a week while going to school full time just to help make ends meet.
