Marion sent a message to Joe Gorder President and CEO, Valero Energy Corporation that said:
Dear Mr. Gorder,
My name is Marion and I am an undergraduate student at Princeton University. This semester, I was fortunate to be selected as a Corporate Contacts Manager for a leading organization on campus called Business Today, a student-run non-profit founded in 1968 by Steve Forbes that fosters dynamic discourse between influential business leaders and top undergraduate students. Through Business Today's Corporate Contacts Program, my colleague Divya and I have the opportunity to learn about and engage with the business community by connecting with major business leaders such as yourself.
Divya and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to meet with you for a brief 30-60 minutes while we are in Houston between June 8-20. Might you have some time?
To illustrate the types of leaders we engage, I have included a short sample of some of the executives involved with our organization over the past few years:
By hosting two annual conferences bringing together these leaders with over 300 global students, publishing the most widely distributed undergraduate publication in the country, and bringing top business leaders to Princeton's campus, Business Today's students are passionate about making a difference by putting top-caliber leaders of todayand tomorrow together inspiring opportunities for dialogue.
By meeting with you, Divya and I aim to gain deeper insight on your leadership as well as discuss the possibility of your participation in our programs.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration, and we look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Marion
