Sandie sent a message to Earl J. Hesterberg – Chief Executive Officer and President of Group 1 Automotive Inc. – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Hesterberg,
I am writing to you because I feel I have been unfairly treated by Shawnee Mission Kia. I have done business here since 2011, when I purchased my first Sorento. I
The incident I am referring to occurred on 3/26/16 when I returned my 2013 Optima after leasing it. I turned it into the dealership without incident. When I received my final statement from Kia Finance, there was a charge of $225.00 for "Excess Wear and Tear". After asking more questions, I was told my car was inspected on 3/28 and had damage on the front end. This was not there when I turned it in and to find out, it sat in a public parking lot for 2 days. I then contacted the manager of Shawnee Mission Kia, Darrell Thompson, who told me there was nothing he could do and that it was not his responsibility.
Like I have stated, I have done business for years with Shawnee Mission Kia and have sent many others there as well as to Baron BMW. I am appalled about this situation.
I have contacted the BBB and SM Kia will not respond. Thus, their F rating with them.
Please let me know how this can be resolved.
Thank you, Sandie
