Kim sent a message to Andrew House President and Group CEO, Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. – email address that said:
Dear Mr. House,
Why is it so difficult to purchase games from Sony? Why is your billing system so unfriendly towards customers?
I was trying to buy some games off the PS website and I went to add a new credit card. I tried to make a purchase it did not work. There was some kind of error and I thought there was an address mistake. So I retyped the correct information and tried again. No go. I tried a different card. No go. I tried Paypal. No go. The PS website said try buying it on my console. No go.
So I enter a chat room with your PS support which has a very long wait time, by the way. And he tells me my account has been locked for security reasons for 24 hours. This was caused by me trying to fix whatever problem your billing system thought I had.
There was no notice to me that my account had been locked and that I was extending the lock by trying to trouble shoot on my own.
Your Chat representative suggested that I go to amazon and purchase PSN cards as a solution. This is an unacceptable solution. Why should I have my funds locked up, sitting in PS account? I should be able to pay for what is owed. Nothing more, nothing less.
A quick google search reveals that this has been problem for more than 2 years.
Why hasn't Sony fixed this?
