Tina sent a message to Robert Iger Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Iger,
Our daughter entered the Marvel "Girls Reforming the Future" contest. It required her making a 5 minute video in which she described her STEM (science) contributions toward making the world a better place. She spent a lot of time and effort scripting and filming this video and it was creatively done.
The winners were supposed to be announced on or around March 30, but no news about the contest has been published. Since the 30th, We have used the link on the website to send a message to find out the status of the contest but no one has responded. We have also made calls to Marvel and Disney headquarters in California and New York and we were assured someone would get back to us, but no one has bothered to call or email.
We are hoping you can get someone to answer. It is so disrespectful to my daughter that no one can even give her the status of the contest or what has happened to her video.
If you cannot help us, we plan to contact the cosponsors, National Academy of Sciences and Synchrony Bank, and express our displeasure with Disney's handling of this matter and my husband is going to contact the media.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Shawn and Tina
