Dear Mr. Jeffrey Robert Immelt, Chairman of the board and Chief Executive Officer of the U.S.-based conglomerate General Electric:
I, and thousands of others, expect and ask you, please, to support diversity when it comes to the Media. I (we) ask you to speak up on behalf of keeping the nightly program on, called “The Last Word,” at MSNBC, hosted by Lawrence ODonnell. The program is now the 2nd in rating in the Country! Lawrence ODonnells contract ends June 4th, 2017. We ask you, please, to speak up on behalf of renewing Lawrences contract, which MSNBC is hesitating to do. Lawrence is an intellectual, brilliant lawyer, graduated from Harvard, who worked for 15 years at the Senate, in the financial area. Lawrence is honest and truthful. He is NOT AFRAID TO SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER, WHICH IS ESSENTIAL, ESPECIALLY NOW, in America. That may be bothering some people at MSNBC, but we love him for that, and we have the right to his outstanding honest, intelligent, intellectually stimulating reporting. There is still, at least half of the Country looking for MSNBC to become another Fox News with Fox News minded reporters. I thank you very much!
