Dear Mr. Johnson,
First of all, I would like to thank you for providing me with a wonderful job. For the last 6 years I have been a Registered Nurse working in Maryland and Florida for HCA. I love being a nurse and know that without the hospitals infrastructure; it would be hard for me to do the work that I love.
With that being said, I am writing because I have a huge concern for the everyday nurses moral. Although I see a bright future for nursing, when I listen to other nurses, it is clear that many do not share this vision.
On a daily bases familiar faces disappear, sometimes 5-10 at a time. Nursing burnout and turnover is quite rampant, which reflects in HCA's profit loss statements.
The truth is that I am happy as a nurse because I feed my mind positive books, information and continually think of ways to grow and add value.
I refuse to accept the negative norm and created a positive nursing brand on my free time called: EmpoweRN. My main outlet is Youtube where I have over 3.5M views and 50K subscribers. There I share positive ways to deal with problems that the nurse can face and also educational videos to help nurses keep up their skills.
My videos and messages have been well received. I know how to motivate nurses to be the best they can be, to go the extra mile for every patient and to get better and better as time goes by.
Which is why I would like to ask for you to consider placing me in a position to motivate all HCA nurses.
