Steven sent a message to Muhtar Kent Chairman and CEO, The Coca-Cola Company – email address that said:
Dear Mr. Kent,
My name is Steve. I am 60 years old and have been working for our company for over 38 years at the Providence RI facility. I filed a personal injury report back in 12/11/15 in order to seek medical help for severe pain that I was having everyday while driving my transport truck. I saw my doctors but choose not to go out of work hoping to work through the injuries to my back along with my doctors in therapy. Sedgewick Claims first approved all my treatments then denied them when I had no choice but to go out of work on 3/17/16 with severe pain in my back, legs and feet. Since then the case ended up in court and my life has been a nightmare. I had no choice but to file a claim with Aetna Short term disability which now they are going against my Nuerosergeon doctors wishes and are also denying my claim. Are you kidding me? Luckily I was able to receive a benefit from Rhode Island TDI. As a result of all of this our company Coca Cola has decided to stop all my medical benifits back on 5/4/16 and didn't even send me notice of that. I had just recently found out on 7/10/16. I don't know why they chose to do this to my family and I. This has been a more than stressful situation on my wife and I. This is wrong on so many levels. Not only ethically but maybe legally..All I asked for Mr Kent was help for the pain that I was feeling everyday. I don't know where else to turn. I have also emailed Mr Mark Bertolini CEO of Aetna Insurance which they contacted me and are looking into this at the executive level..I was hoping that you sir could do the same. Deep down inside I feel that this situation is not only an embarrassment to my family and I but to the Coca Cola Company. Please help.
Thank You Steve
