Avery sent a message to John B. Koch, Chief Executive Officer and President, PODS Enterprises, Inc. – email address that said:
Dear Mr. Koch,
I have a slight problem I'm hoping you're able to help me with. I'm a physical therapist who's just finished graduate school and am heading to my first career position. We have been storing our belonging with PODS for the last few months and are now ready to move them. We got a quote from PODS to move our things from Asheville NC to Burnsville MN a few weeks ago for $1700.00 a few weeks ago and were able to budget for that amount in our financial planning. However, we've called the Florida center back to get the things moved but now they say it'll cost upwards of $2600.00 which is way outside our budget. Now I get that prices will vary some throughout the year but a 50% price hike over 3-4 weeks was astounding. I tried to explain this to the representatives at the call center as well as their supervisors, but the uniform answer was that they couldn't change the price the computer gave them, and there was nothing we could do about it. To be honest everyone there was rather unhelpful and even rude. I'm hoping that as the man in charge you will be able to help us as PODS is essentially holding our belongings hostage until we can round up another thousand dollars. It seems they expect my family to sleep on the floor until we're able to make their payment of choice. I sincerely hope you can assist me. I can be reached.Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Avery
