Dear Mr Levatich. Hope all is well. I am writing to you as a long time Harley Davidson owner. I recently traded in my 2006 Electra Glide for a left over 2016 Ultra Limited i paid and additional 400 dollars for the Sirius satellite module so i would be able to enjoy the satellite radio . My 2006 that i traded in had a Sirius radio that i added on my handle bar with and external puck antenna. I had perfect reception with this radio most of the time, i was very satisfied. The issue i am having on the new bike is that i am always losing reception for long periods of time. i googled this and found as far back as 2014 other harley riders with this module having the same issue and even some of them not recommending to but the module. I have contacted the dealer Empire Harley in New Rochelle N.Y. and they moved the antenna over a little to no avail. The issue is the that an antenna underneath the bat wing fairing is losing the signal because it is not exposed outside the fairing. My dealer suggested i purchase an external antenna which i have and they want to charge me to put it in. I have contacted Harley customer service twice now and filed a complaint and they said they are aware of the problem but there is nothing they could do for me. If you spent between 20 and 23 thousand dollars on a bike plus an additional 400 for a radio module how would you feel about having to pay to resolve this problem. this is my fourth new Harley and this is not the way to do business and i suggest that they make the antenna able to be mounted in the future . I am very frustrated with this issue. The rest of the bike i love . I hope to hear from you on this issue. Thank you.
