Williamsent a message to Matthew S. Levatich – President and Chief Executive Officer of Harley-Davidson, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Levatich;
I am a proud, six-time Harley owner and am as pleased with my latest Rushmore edition as my first. My problem is not with the motorcycle ...
As a previous leader in your parts and accessories department, I feel strongly that you will relate to my complaint:
The Rushmore models are severely lacking in accessories compared to older models. Specific case in point, the nostagic saddlebag rails. This is but one of many similar nostalgic parts that are available for eons of Harleys but not for any bikes after 2014.
I have a 2014 Road King and have been patiently waiting for the accessories available to be fleshed out. I understood their lack of availability in 2014, but in a few months the 2017 models will be announced--and still no accessories!
Just last week I visited the INCREDIBLE Harley Museum in Milwaukee and was dumbstruck by the beauty of those older works of mechanical art and even more inspired to honor those bikes with some tasteful modifications to mine. The only problem, if I want to do this I have to turn to non-Harley parts which I will not do.
Please PLEASE expedite the introduction of more of the old accessories updated to fit the Rushmores--I know I'm not the only rider who would be very grateful.
Sincerely,
William
