Dear Mr. Massey,
My name is Meredith I have applied for bather positions and grooming apprentice positions at MD and now southern NJ locations of Petsmart. I hold a BA degree in Journalism, from Hood College in Frederick, MD. Due to medical malpractice and my life being turned upside down by medical problems over the past 5 years, I have decided to make a career change. I have some administrative background during and after college for 3 years, then I became ill.
I love animals and have experience with my own dogs and cats, and over the past several months have been trying to catch a break and get an entry position so I can eventually become a full-time groomer. I have PTSD because of what doctors did to me to cause my medical issues and the reason I got through the medical nightmare was because of my dog Odie, a 9 year old Tibetan Spaniel. Becoming a groomer and making dogs and cats feel and look their best is something I want to do and being a grooming apprentice or bather would allow me to get to my career goal.
I have not been able to get an interview with your company and I would like to know why. I was under the impression that a bathing position or the apprentice position for grooming are both entry level positions and all you need is a love for animals, a strong work ethic and at least a high school diploma.
I meet all of your qualifications and I would appreciate an interview with the store manager and grooming salon manager, at a location near my home in Sicklerville, NJ. The pet care industry is always thriving, and is extremely important for caring, driven, and knowledgeable people. I am one of those people and would love to be part of your company.
Please give me a chance to interview at one of your locations near 08081, Sicklerville or Turnersville, NJ.
Thank you for reading.
You can reach out to me by calling or emailing me.
Sincerely,
Meredith
