Michelle sent a message to Doug McMillon – President and Chief Executive Officer of Walmart Stores, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. McMillon,
I was at your Muskegon, MI Sherman Ave store last night and needless to say it proved to be a terrible experience as usual. It does not matter the time of day I am there , there are never enough cashiers. I was in line at the 20 items or less, as this was the only one open. After 20 minutes of waiting, I was number 4 in line and three more people behind me, I asked the cashier to call the Manager, it was ridiculous that there was only one cashier and the store was packed, this was after 10 pm. I don't normally like to say anything, but I had stuff that was melting. The manager came by and I asked her to open another register, she said ok, then she asked the cashier something and I heard her say we have no one that can run the register, yet there were at least 10 or more stocker's on the floor, but not one of them can run the register. I worked at Target and EVERYONE no matter what department you were could be a back up cashier. This makes no sense. The guy in front of me got pissed and left his cart and walked out. I wanted to, but I had a cart full. I usually don't like to go to Walmart because of this and the sad thing is people in other states complain about the same thing on facebook. I just cannot imagine that these stores are so poorly ran that people get pissed enough to walk out. Rite Aid and Walgreens are much smaller stores and they call back up cashiers when they see three or more in line. I told the cashier that this was not her fault and we were not mad at her, but she is the poor person busting her butt to get people out as fast as she can and with the smallest area for people to put their stuff, no conveyor. I think the training needs to start with cross training for your stocker's and having more registers open. They can help a few people and go back to doing their job. So instead of ice cream for snack, we had ice cream soup. I hope this doesn't take 2 years to fix.
