Doris sent a message to Craig Menear - Chairman, CEO and President of The Home Depot email address that said:

Dear Mr. Menear;
Although I am sure you receive many e-mails detailing customer issues and complaints, I am hopefull you can help. After moving into our new home, we ordered all new appliances from Home Depot on August 5th, 2017. (fridge/stove/dishwasher)
We knew the dishwasher was on back order with your supplier GE. The store sales rep told us the dishwasher would deliver September 20, however the paperwork showed a delivery date of September 22. When it did arrive it was damaged (frame was bent) and we refused the item and sent it back for replacement. We were told the delivery people would re-order our replacement and to call the following week for confirmation of delivery.
On that call, (the following Monday September25) we were told it would be another week to 10 days before it would be shipping out. I asked for a supervisor to speak to, was put on hold as the CSR called GE to expedite the order. We were then told that our replacement would be delivered Wednesday September 27th and there would be a call the night before to advise a time of delivery.
We were told this by both the CSR at Home Depot and the rep from GE called and confirmed that date.
No call came yesterday, so we called this morning and were told that this was an error, that the unit was being delivered to the Carrier - Ovation, and would not deliver to us until Friday September 29th.
Two months to receive a dishwasher, with no offer of compensation for this very poor service, no one offering a special delivery because of this poor service. We have spent over $3200.00 cdn so far and were going to order a new washer and dryer in addition to our original order. After this, we are shopping around.
Word of mouth can be the best or the worst form of advertising. As they say, a lifetime of hard work can be undone in only a matter of seconds!
What can Home Depot do to remedy this issue to our mutual satisfaction?
