Maureen Duff sent a message to Michael OLeary - CEO, Ryanair - Email Address that said:
Dear Mr OLeary,
I am really a nobody of any importance, but I have been reading your comment on Brexit in the British press .
You probably know that Scotland did not vote for Brexit, and I would not like to think that you would punish us for the stupidity of the English.
I am a nurse teacher/practitioner whose life has been greatly enhanced by the opportunities I have been afforded in Ireland due to the availability of competitively priced flights to Ireland. I have enjoyed hours of friendship camaraderie, been interviewed on Irish radio and just cannot adequately put in to words what all of this has meant to me. In all the years I have travelled. In all of this time I have only ever had one flight that was so late I had to abandon a meeting at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. (and despite Martin Lewiss (Money saving site) I would not be tempted to claim money back for the delay - not because I am daft, but because I believe it is about balance - of all the flights I have had with Ryanair including travelling on a regular basis with two persons with disabilities to other destinations I have been treated with respect and courtesy. So, to the crux of the matter - please do not desert us in Scotland. I am not being sycophantic just honest, and I hope ypu will bear with us in Scotland, please dont abandon us
