June sent a message to Michael O’Leary – CEO, Ryanair – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr O'Leary,
I hear that you are not bringing your new jets to Britain due, basically, to the UK's Brexit vote to leave the EU.
This does seem somewhat petty and very unfair. I cannot believe that you favour a bureaucratic, corrupt and power crazy organisation over the genuine desire of people for democracy and to have the right to decide and initiate their own laws.
Your are an Irishman and while Europe has been kind to your country, it has also asked for its pound of flesh. Your country voted 'Out' not so long ago, followed shortly afterwards by an 'In' because the EU didn't like the result and questioned the question!
As a businessman, and one would hope someone with integrity (you have listened to the negative views of your airline in the past and acted upon them to the benefit of Ryanair) you would consider fully what you are saying in big, bold letters to your customers in the UK.
YOU ARE SAYING 'STUFF' THE BRITISH PASSENGER; I WILL MAKE YOU PAY AND STAY FRIENDS WITH THE EU SUPER LORDS.
Surely, oh surely, you can see that this is not good business. People will still fly with you but the disloyalty to passengers, like myself, who have preferred your aircraft and airline, despite the no frills ethos, and chosen it over others is bitterly disappointing.
I would ask you - and do hope that YOU reply unlike so many corporate CEOs - why do you want to snub the UK and its people because you appear to want to appease Europe? Don't you care?
I'm Scottish with Irish heritage but I believe in Britain and I do so want someone like you to speak out in support of us.
Kind regards,
June
