Alan sent a message to Roger S. Penske – Chairman of the Board and CEO of Penske Corporation – Email Address that said:

Dear Mr. Penske,
I am the owner of a produce co. in Los Angeles. We run about 30 semi trucks and 10 bobtails. Recently we purchased 2 Volvo semi trucks from your company. We had engine problems with one truck 2 mos. later. We repaired the truck, then contacted your company to see if we could have any help with the bill. It was $25.000. We were told to contact the warranty co, NPR. They claimed the warranty was invalid because we didn't call them before we got the truck running. I've had nothing but pleasant dealings with Longo Toyota in El Monte in the past ( the trucks weren't purchased at Longo). I just assumed that that was the Penske way. In a nutshell I bought a $40,000 used truck and had a $25,000 repair two months later, then told tough luck. Your company is a multi billion dollar company and you probably have better things to do than deal with complaints. Our company on the other hand only has 275 employees and I try to keep my customers happy. I think you used to do the same.

Sincerely,
Alan
