Marlin sent a message to Glen F. Post, III President and CEO, CenturyLink, Inc. – email address that said:
Dear Mr. Post
I write this e-mail with considerable trepidation. I was a long time Century Link customer in Hurricane , Utah. I moved and cancelled my service.
I recently renewed my internet service with Century Link. The speed was less than I needed so I tried to cancel my service. That process was the most irritating thing I have experience in a long time. I was disconnected by no less than 5 customer service employees and kissed off by another 2 online personnel.
I was never improper , impolite, or discourteous to any person I spoke with, so , none had reason to be discourteous to me. The bad feelings generated by these people are more than just an incident.
Please believe me when I say I will never have contact with Century Link again. I will also pass along my feelings to as many people as I can.
I thought the whole idea of customer service was to get and KEEP customers not drive them away and poison the name of the company.
Sincerely,
Marlin
