Rachel sent a message to J. Paul Raines Chief Executive Officer of GameStop Corporation Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Raines:
I do hope that you personally receive this email. I live in Sarasota, Florida. I have been dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Irma daily for close to 6 weeks. My situation is bad but will spare you the details. Not one federal agency has helped me. The stress is overwhelming. I reached bottom this week and I called my son at college and asked him if I could bring his used games to Gamestop so I could buy food and gas. I nice man named Chris at the Sarasota Pavillion helped me. I was able to receive enough money to put gas in my car and buy food.
I wanted you to know that I havent received any help from Disaster Relief due to red tape issues like everyone else.
Gamestop is the first aid I have received since September 10th when Irma hit us. I am so grateful to you and your company that I was able to get some help after a long 6 weeks with no help.
I dont think there are any words to express my gratitude to you but thank you so much for being there to help me when I had given up. I feel saying thank you is not enough . But Thank you Mr. Raines so much.
Ironic a game store could help me more after Irma than any federal agency could.
Sincerely,
Rachel
