Patricia sent a message to William H. Rogers, Jr. – Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of SunTrust Banks – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Rogers,
I hope you are well. I do realize that you are very busy; therefore, I will be very respectful of your time. Over the past weeks I have received at least two promotional letters from SunTrust, stating that I pre-qualified, to refinance my high-interest debt with a LightStream loan with a rates as low as 4.99 with auto pay.
I had been contemplating doing a loan consolidation for quite sometime and after receiving your promotional invitations and your company stellar reputation, I decided to apply with you. I was extremely disappointed to receive a declination, after continuously receiving an invitation to apply, which I considered that your company had successfully completed a review of the requirements that made me eligible. My understanding of pre-qualified is that you are eligible pending an application only.
The credit check and denial has negatively impacted me. During my time of paying my bills I have made over 500 payments, which have all been made on time. My reason for taking you up on the offer was to again consolidate my bills for a lower payment and interest rate, which I have abided by timely for years. In addition my family over the years have experience some health hardships that negatively impacted our finances and while it was a strained at times, again my finances did not suffer.
I would like a re-review of my application and I asked Mr. Rogers, sir that you please take into consideration that your company contacted me several times and that my understanding was that I was approved based on information that you had obtained and that I only needed to submit an application to complete the process. The letters are from Mr. Dave Seller.
Thank you, sir for your time
