Joan sent a message to Stephen H. Rusckowski President and Chief Executive Officer of Quest Diagnostics Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Ruschowski,
Although I would prefer a one on one phone conversation with you, I will bow to "modern times".
As a retired medical technologist I have been a wellness screening examiner with Summit/Quest Diagnostics for 5 yrs. I have never been a "no show", have never cancelled at the last minute, nor ever been late. I rarely request a hotel. I have always done my part to represent the company in a professional manner and wish to continue to do so.
I am writing to you in question of the method of assignments to clinics in regard to logistics.
I personally requested the clinic in my hometown of Redgranite, WI. (Scheduled 4/21/16) and just learned it has been fully staffed. I worked this site last year. It is less than 1 mile from my home.
A few months ago I was also denied an event in Wautoma, WI. (Only 10 miles away) The day before that event an urgent request was sent asking for an examiner. (I had already accepted a clinic in Madison, WI [90 miles away])
This is a matter of great concern. In terms of mathematics it only seems appropriate that examiners be assigned by proximity in order to save Quest Diagnostics sums for mileage and hotel expenses.
Any clarity you may provide regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
Respectfully,
Joan
P.S. I am still hoping to work this upcoming clinic.
