Margaret sent a message to Stephen H. Rusckowski – President and Chief Executive Officer of Quest Diagnostics – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Rusckowski,
I live in Midwest City, Oklahoma, and I have had the very unfavorable experience of utilizing one of your labs in Midwest City. The service in the lab was quick, cordial and complete. That wasn't the problem.
I am fully insured - in fact, you can say I am insurance poor. Imagine my surprise when I started getting billings from DLO, Oklahoma City. The first bill that arrived was for $427.45 . On April 25, I called DLO and spoke to Ronald who told me that you needed 'coding' from the doctor's office. I called Brittany at my doctor's office and got that underway. All was well, or so I thought.
I received another bill for $97.61. I thought that meant that most of the original bill was taken care of and that there was something pending on this one. I did not notice that it was another invoice. I made the fatal mistake of assuming that everything was under control! Alas, not so ...
In July I received another bill with a huge THIRD NOTICE on it for the same amount of money; that bill was dated July 6. I immediately called (July 12) and talked to Selina. Again, I was told that the doctor's office needed to send codes. I called Brittany at my doctor's office and requested coding be faxed to Selina. Brittany said she would take care of it.
This last weekend (8/21/16) I received two more bills from DLO. One was the original $427.45 and the other was the $97.61. I was furious!
This morning I called the DLO office and spoke with Judy who told me 'they had not received any faxes regarding this...' Again, I was angry as I knew someone was lying - just whom that person is, I don't know.
I drove across town, 28,2 miles one way. I actually sat in Dr. Linda Lea's office and waited while Brittany did all the paper work and faxed it to Judy at the number she gave me. Brittany then gave me a copy of all of the information she sent to Judy plus a fax receipt saying it went through. The entire process took several hours of which I took off from work to do. Not a happy Monday for me.
Judy, DLO office, promised she would call me when she received the fax. The fax went though at 9:48:49 Oklahoma City time; it is now 2:07 PM Oklahoma City time and I still have not heard from Judy, yet the fax receipt lies here in front of me.
Personally, Mr. Rusckowski, I believe I have fulfilled all obligations to DLO. Since Ive not heard back from Judy and I do have proof that all of this was done while I waited, then I think there is a problem in your offices. I'll leave it to you to figure that one out.
I don't know if this is a game DLO plays thinking they'll wear the little old lady down or if there is a real communication problem. Either way, I am putting this mess in your hands and I respectfully request this stops here and now. I may be 72 but I'm moving pretty fast and I don't have time to be chasing rabbits. Please take care of this situation.
Thank you so much.
Respectfully - sort of,
Margy
