Dear Mr. Rutledge:

I am a customer of Spectrum and have been for many years when it was Time Warner Cable. Today I tried to negotiate my bill as I have in past years but as a loyal customer did not really get the same consideration from Spectrum as a I have in the past from Time Warner Cable. As I senior citizen maybe you can appreciate (maybe not) that many senior citizens are on a fixed budget and cant really afford sudden hikes on their bills. May I suggest that Spectrum consider setting up a program in which you can offer seniors discounted packages. Another option would be to become a participating vendor with AARP where AARP members can get 10% to 15% discounts on their Spectrum bills. Other vendors do it so why not Spectrum? With these to options you may get back lost senior customers and gain new ones. Thats $$$$$ in the bank. For the time being, I renegotiated my bill but not to my satisfaction. I was trying to keep a triple play bundle with the EPIX channels for around $121.14 a month which included 200 channels and 200 mbps internet. Great package but I did not need all those channels since I dont watch sports channels and many other channels. I also dont need 200 mbps internet since I am not gamer or play tons of videos or download a lot of stuff. In order to get what I wanted I had to take the package last year and according to Spectrum at great savings. If I may, I have another suggestion/question. Why cant Spectrum allow a customer to pick their plan by choosing the channels they want and how much internet speed they want so they can save money and not pay for items they do not want? At the very least, offer it to seniors. Now that I think about it, offering it to AARP members makes sense because it already proofs an age of over 50. The bottom line now is that I am now paying more for less and lost my EPIX channels so I am forced hope and look for other options.

On another note. Spectrum is always advertising that they need people but I have sent in my resume numerous times hoping that maybe by some luck I could land a job in the Time Warner Building in Manhattan. I figured that Spectrum must need people with a background in finance and business management. I still have a lot good years left in me but unfortunately, I never get a response from Spectrum.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jennifer A. Castaños
