Dear Mr. Rutledge:
I have been a customer with Brighthouse Network since I moved to Titusville, Fl 18 months ago. I have been very pleased with the service I have received,
Due to an increase in my medical insurance, I had to go from the Standard TV and Internet package to the Basic TV and Internet package.
The new system was installed. and the service as usual was great. This evening, I was shocked to find out that I have no Guide to show me what programs are on the channels nor the times of these shows. There is an info button on the new remote, and I called customer service. I spoke with a very nice woman and, after she did some checking, was told that with the Basic TV Package there is no Guide. I couldn't believe it nor could she. I now have no idea when to watch a program or movie, nor would I be able to find out the name of a movie should I switch channels and come across one.
Could you please tell me what good is having a Basic TV Package with Brighthouse when you don't know what you are watching or when to watch something?
I am 81-years young, and have had cable TV for more years than I care to remember. I have run the gamut from basic to premium TV to Dish Network and have never come across this. Your Basic TV Package doesn't even have a rolling Guide. As I stated, my remote has an info button and when it's used, it shows the name of the station you are watching only.
I am sure I am not the only subscriber with this complaint. I have been very happy with Brighthouse but will be looking into other cable companies that service the Titusville, Fl area. And, all because Brighthouse does not offer a Guide with their Basic TV Package.
Also, just a suggestion. Is there any way that Brighthouse could bill seniors to coincide with receipt of their social security checks? I had asked about this once and was told it couldnt be done. It is sometimes hard to pay a bill on time because of this. I dont know if this is something you would consider but I thought I would throw it out as a suggestion.
Sincerely,
Judith
