Dear Mr Saun,
I'm a customer of Citizens bank in Ohio. On July 5th, 2016, my friend deposited a $30,000 check to my account and the receipt stated the rest of $29,800 would be available on the 7th. What surprise me was an extended hold to July 26th. I asked one of your branch manager to explain why your bank couldn't release funds as it was and he told me there is nothing he can do. Therefore, I tried calling customer service and have been told to go to a local branch for help. So I decided to go back to the same branch and talk to the same manager. Not surprisingly, no one seems capable to do their jobs and cares about the bank's reputation. I had to wait until it can be released, yet today I found from online banking that the hold is extended to Sep 7th! This makes absolutely no sense! I really have no idea why a check can be held for two months while the regular holding period should be between 7-10 business days. Is your bank complying with Reg.cc?! At this point, no one could even help me with explaining why there's a hold, no one even cared about my situation but just kicking me around or avoiding to help me. Their attitude is horrible! Perhaps I should take my business elsewhere because clearly your bank is not capable nor caring.
