Cristina sent a message to Dan Schulman – President and CEO of PayPal – Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Schulman - You made an INCREDIBLE impression on me when you called after I wrote to complain that I had written the word "Cuban" on a message when I transferred money to a friend PayPal wouldnt do so! Once more I am bothering you because I purchased a gift card on eBay (Lesson 1 - DONT BUY GIFT CARDS ON EBAY!). I went to use it last week lo behold it had a zero value, not the $100 I was expecting. Every interaction with PayPal, I have been told different things by PayPals Customer Service Resolution Center. Today I have been told that per your legal agreement YOU DONT COVER GIFT CARDS (Lesson 2 - see Lesson 1 check the legal things more closely). Why did no one tell me at the outset? Why did I have to call Home Depot, send copies of the zero balance, talk to a manager at Home Depot to see if I could find out where when the card was used (they cant do this BTW). I feel like I have been thrown from pillar to post. At 62 - just copying scanning this information was hard - I am not computer literate! This is not about my 1600+ transactions at 100% on eBay vs. this ladys 12, the fact that she took forever to send the card or even get her money from PayPal. This is about how YOUR EMPLOYEES treat customers. Lesson 3 - ONLY USE MY CREDIT CARD BECAUSE NEITHER EBAY NOR PAYPAL CARE OR STAND BY YOU! I have always used PayPal because I felt safe - obviously an illusion. We have all been scammed by sellers I am an old fool to trust what each of your employees said. Unhappily, Cristina
