Michael sent a message to Joseph R. Swedish – President and Chief Executive Officer of Anthem, Inc. Email Address that said:
Dear Mr. Swedish:
I've spent the past month, and most of today, trying to get health insurance for my daughter who needs to see a specialist on Wednesday, November 9. 2016.
Unfortunately, the supervisor who pressured me to get a new application to him and authorization form by 10AM this morning only responded once indicating that he had not received the attachment, which he told me to send to him.
I have been trying for over an hour to speak with another supervisor, but I am being blocked from speaking to that supervisor.
I try not to get upset about situations like this due to my high blood pressure, but this call has especially affected me.
I find the quality of service at Anthem is not as good as it could be, and I hope that you as their CEO will rectify this; should you ever read this message.
In the meantime, it looks to me like my daughter will have to cancel her appointment due to Anthem's lack of responsiveness to a serious situation.
Please call me at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter.
