I am writing related to the disappointing service received the last few months. My issues started back in May or June 2016. I ordered DirectTV for a two year plan at my residence at 32496 Bluffstone Circle in North ridgeville Ohio. Unfortunately, I had some personal issues and I had to see my home and cancel the direct tv service after only one month. I was charged an early termination fee from direct tv and was advised by someone within the corporate offices that I would be reimbursed the early termination fee if I rejoined direct tv within two years. Fast forward to today, I tried to order new direct tv service and mentioned how I was to collect on my reimbursement from early termination fee. I was told I had to reopen my old account . I attempted to do this but I was told I would have to pay for all the equipment. I think this is unfair that I would be charged for this equipment when I could sign up as a new customer and obtain all the equipment for free. On top of this, I was on the phone for over two and a half hours with customer service representatives who bounced me back and forth and when I reordered the direct tv/internet service I was quoted different prices and charged for different pieces of hardware that were not originally quoted.
I would like to be reimbursed my early termination fees from my earlier account without being required to pay for equipment. I would also like what was originally promised to me without extra charges. These conversations occurred on taped lines so it should not be hard to acquire.
