Dear Mr. White,
I know that you are extremely busy, but I have an urgent question and I cant find anyone in the company who can help me. I serve on the Board for a non-profit organization, Chikondi Health Foundation. We travel to Malawi, Africa to do medical work. Last year we purchased an Abbott Emerald, and love it! During this year a part broke, we figured out from off-site what and how to get a part, and have a certified engineer install the part. Now, within days of 35 American medical personnel arriving in Malawi to perform surgery and use the machine, I found out that we did not receive the calibrators and controls and we will not be able to run the instrument for CBC's for these patients and surgeons.
I have followed ALL the Abbott procedures to try and locate the right person, I have talked to some very helpful people in the USA, but they can not get me any reagents from Germany to be shipped quickly to Malawi.
I am sorry to bother you, but I dont know who else can help me, and I know we would all love to see this instrument used for this incredibly valuable service as it is intended.
