Michael sent a message to Michael D. White, President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer DIRECTV, Inc. – email address that said:
Dear Mr. White,
If you would I'd like you to check on my DIRECTV account
On 6/16/16 I called ATT because I had talked to a DIRECTV rep on a question I had on my bill. As we talked the question of who I had my Internet through came up. I informed him it was with Time Warner, he said that I would get a better deal with ATT, he also offered my 3 months of HBO and that made me think what a good phone call that was. I called ATT and spoke to one of your sales associates (Todd) who was very polite. After 20 minutes or so he had me as a new customer, he said that my Internet would go from 15 mega bites per second with Time Warner to 18 mega bites per second with ATT. He said my cost would be $40.00 plus tax per month for 24 months and I would not have a modem fee but I would have to pay a $99.00 install fee. I ask him what the price would be after the 2 year was up and he said he did not have that information, I thought to myself that he did know and maybe did not want to tell me because he may lose the sale. He also said it would not matter because I would only be under contract for one year and I could cancel any time after that. He also said that he could give me Cinemax at no charge for 3 months, another great phone call ! So after the time it took for ATT to run a credit check, and the rep to get my credit card number, social security number, date of birth, best contact #, and a installation appointment date of 6/25/16 I had a confirmation He said I would be billed direct and we said good by. On the morning of 6/17/16 I received an email from ATT that says in order to process your request for Internet Max I need to call with in 7 days or be cancelled. I call and the new associate states that she (Sam) does not know what I was Told but the price per month will be $50.00 and the only way I could get it for $40.00 would be to switch to ATT for my phone service. I told her to cancel my appointment and to cancel my order. On 7/6/16 I received my Direct TV bill and guess what I found on it, a charge of $46.67 for HBO Cinemax. So I called Direct TV last night and was put on hold for close to 1/2 of an hour as the CSR (Faith) said she was looking for her supervisor and a little more time of asking on the phone IS
ANY ONE THERE I Hung the phone up. I did not receive a call back either.I always thought of ATT as a established reputable company.
I'm looking forward to your response and thank you.
Sincerely,
Michael
