Dear Mr. William S. Demchak: I am writing to you today regarding my closed PNC credit – William S Demchak email address

Christina Manning sent a message to William S. Demchak - Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of The PNC Financial Services Group - Email Address that said:

Dear Mr. William S. Demchak:

I am writing to you today regarding my closed PNC credit card. The purpose of my correspondence is to see if you will be willing to make a “goodwill” adjustment on the reporting of this account to the three credit agencies.

I received my PNC credit card in 2009 which was during my freshman year in college as an undergrad. I had an one year old son (Brandon) at the time, I was working part time at a movie theater and having multiple financial difficulties finding a stable living environment for myself and Brandon. During that time period I was very happy with the service, I was however not the ideal customer and made mistakes with my handling of the account. I should have kept better records regarding the account and I take full responsibility.

Today, I have my Bachelors of Science degree in Public Health, I am a full time employee as a Veteran Service Officer with Vietnam Veterans of America and I am now pursuing a Masters degree in Public Health Services at Trinity University in Washington DC. Brandon is 8 now and we are looking forward to our future living comfortable and happy. I am about to shop for a mortgage for us and it has come to my attention that the late notations from my PNC card may preclude me from taking full advantage of the very lowest interest rates now available. Your customer service representative suggested that I write a “goodwill adjustment.” I know that payment was my responsibility and I am not attempting to justify this breach of my user agreement, I am however hoping you might review the circumstances under which the non-payments occurred and consider removing the negative trade line associated with this account from my three credit reports.

I would like to STRESS that the information currently being reported IS accurate. I am simply asking PNC Bank for a courtesy gesture of goodwill in having the credit bureaus remove this account from my report. I do recognize that this request is unique and that it may not be PNC Banks policy. Please consider that the Fair Credit Reporting Act does not demand that all accounts be reported, only that any account that is reported be reported accurately. Therefore, a company does have legal discretion and permission to remove an account it chooses from the credit report. I am hoping and praying and begging that PNC Bank will do that in my case for this account so I can achieve financial freedom for my little family. I sincerely hope that there is redemption at PNC Bank. Please let me know if any additional documentation is needed that would assist in reaching a positive outcome, and I thank you again for the time you have spent reading this letter.

Best Regards,

Christina M Manning
