Lisheng sent a message to Chua Sock Koong CEO, SingTel – email address that said:
Dear Mrs Chua,
My warm regards to your good self. I am writing in with a frustrating mind resulting from the red tape of singtel.
My case was, early this morning I called on behalf of my father who is the account holder of the subject mobile line. From the hotline they called my father to verify my fathers identity while I held on the line.
That was fine. They got through and I was able to speak on behalf of my father. However, when they wanted to transfer me to the retention department, they said they have to re-verify again, and they need my father to be beside me as they couldn't make outbound calls, and I have to end the call and reschedule a time for my dad to be beside me as a make the call.
I am perplexed by this ridiculous excuse. Utterly disgusted by such red tape. I can't describe how ludicrous this is.
I hope you as the chief of singtel can further improve and do away these red tapes, as these red tapes infuriate customers.
Thank you.
Regards,
Lisheng
