Dear Ms. Albert: We purchased a 5-piece sectional sofa from Pottary Barn this summer on – Laura J Alber email address

Sanford sent a message to Laura J. Alber Director, President, and CEO, Williams-Sonoma that said:

Dear Ms. Albert: We purchased a 5-piece sectional sofa from Pottary Barn this summer on August 10th and were told it would take 8-10 weeks for delivery. Last week we were notified that the sofa was ready for delivery and we arranged for delivery this past Thursday December 17th. Since we receiving a new sectional we donated our old sectional to a local charity the night before. On Thursday morning we received a call to confirm the delivery between 4 and 6 pm. At 3 pm I received a call from your dispatch office advising me that there was a problem. Four of the pieces of the sofa were as we had ordered them in white slipcover fabric but the love seat section was in BROWN. Your representative then advised me that there was nothing she could do because the fabric we chose had been discontinued. Needless to say I was livid. I could not believe that we were not notified prior to the delivery date. I could not believe that the couch had been loaded on the truck in that condition. And now had nowhere to sit on our den with family and friends coming for the holidays. All I could do was cancel the order and get a refund. Nobody offered to do anything else. No replacement. No temporary seating. Nothing. I would like to know what if anything you plan to do about this situation. We have purchased many items and furniture from Pottery Barn in the past but this will be the last time unless this situation is rectified immediately. Sincerely, Sanford
