Stanley sent a message to Peter Agne President and CEO, IKEA – email address that said:
Dear Peter Agne,
Thank you for reading this email. I know very well you must receive so many which should be consigned to the delete button.
In 2018, The International Cavalry Association will be recreating the last offensive of the Allied forces, starting at Cambrai and ending in Mons. As we are International, we are offering our support to the British Cavalry Association with our contacts across the world.
It is our intention, not only to have British Cavalry dressed in full period uniforms but to have cavalry from all of the countries that took part in this war to end all wars. As such, we expect Units from Germany, Austria, Hungary, France, Poland, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the USA. We will also have contingents from Sweden and Switzerland. This will mean, we expect over 100 cavalry in period uniforms from the armies who fought for their Country and lives. The ride will be over one week, with events in Cambrai, Vallenciennes and onto Mons.
We believe this will be the largest mounted tribute and commemoration of the armies who fought in this terrible war. As such, I am looking to organisations such as your goodselves to sponsor us in our efforts. Why am I asking you? Because I feel with your many products and Swedish Cavalry in attendance we can be symbiotic in both our needs.
I am at your disposal if you feel you our project is something that would interest your organisation.
Yours Sincerely
Stanley
