Mark sent a message to Richard Fairbank Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO, Capital One Financial that said:
Dear Richard
I write in reference to two UK accounts being the first that's been sent to a debt collection agency despite letters from my psychiatrist . I've been an inpatient 3 times in the past two years at the London Priory a top private clinic in London for depression and severe anxiety. It was precipitated by widespread identity theft which remains unresolved. I can email his letter and a generic UK form for such situations. I trained in medicine and law but my business is now dormant as doing this is about as much as I can do as I'm also taking the health insurer to court which is a long story. The balance of the two cards is only around 1400 but I have piles of paperwork as my mum died a few months ago so I'm doing as much as possible to sort my dad and sisters out.
It's not that I dispute I owe the money but rather I seem unable to deal with my own affairs.
