Don sent a message to Trevor Fetter – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tenet Healthcare – Email Address that said:
Dear Sir:
I have called and spoke to Paula. Paula started off the conversation by informing that our conversation is being recorded. However, twice she herself has lied to me in reference to a collection; a violation of Fair Debt Collection Practise Act.
It was then that I verified that Stephanie is not the only one in that department, which was her 2nd lie. However, her first lie was there was no way to get in touch with the legal department.
With that being the case I refused to talk to her, and requested someone else to speak too. She hung up the phone twice. From that point I called back and spoke to a man who told me he heard the conversation and he too has refused to forward my calls.
This matter is about a debt, which involves Tenet Healthcare and Don. This involved a lawsuit from an injury that occurred on 6/15/2015. Under Medicare law 42 U.S.C. Section 1395y (b) (2) (A) and (B) the insurance from the car accident was to be billed. However, with all the mistakes Northeast Baptist Hospital made I was billed $2567.00 10 months later.
I have wrote a letter dated May 1, 2016, which specifically requested that these charges not be billed to Medicare/Medicaid however, members of Inquiry Resolution Service Department has billed me anyway. Against my will, I have rights not to involve Medicare/Medicaid service especially when the government requires reimbursement for those charges.
The crux of my complaint is Paula has accused me of yelling at her when in fact the recording should proves this to be untrue. If no repose from you or anyone on the corporate latter refuses to contact me I would have no choice but to file a complaint with CMS (Centers For Medicare Medicare Services) with the case identification
I have filed a complaint with Ethics Compliance specifically following instruction given by Donna, which can be referenced under the number. I consider the treatment by Paula harassment especially so because it closely violates Federal Debt Collection Practices (FDCP). My reason for contacting Stephanie Stringer is to become familiar with the name of the firm and/or lawyers who are handling these matters.
Please do request the phone conversation (recorded conversation) or listen to mine as recorded on my Smart Phone Device. You will easily see how Paula was entirely unprofessional, conduct considered "a bad faith dealing). I have snap photo copy of this entire Email so please do respond. Without your response I would have no choice but to file a False Claim under the False Claim Act. Already in place, is a Texas Deceptive Trade Practise Complaint Notice giving Tenet Heathcare 60 days notice for suit.
Northeast Baptist Hospital and the Baptist Health System has made countless mistakes. I have received a email from NorthEast Baptist Hospital under the name Brenda where the debt was reduced to $2000.00; yet, I was still billed the whole amount of $2567.00
I respectfully request that you assist me with this matter: otherwise, I will Title my complaint under your name including every last board member of Tenet Health. Be assured that I will never go to Northeast Baptist Hospital or any hospital under the Baptist Health System from this point further. At this present time I am reading court files where a White Blower disclosed information to the government that the Baptist Health System filed fraudulent claims for payment where I will contact the same agency involved furthering my complaints in their entirety.
This matter can be resolved without legal ramifications if your professionalism exceeds those indivuduals who are the subject of this complaint. Respectfully submitted, Don A. Payne.
