Dear Sir / Madam I am writing to you as a citizen of Turkey and – Herbert Hainer email address

can sent a message to Herbert Hainer  Chief Executive Officer of Adidas AG email address that said:

Dear Sir / Madam

I am writing to you as a citizen of Turkey and as a customer of Adidas.

On 17th of December I entered the raffle for Yeezy Boost 950 Pirate Blacks which was held by Adidas Turkey and 290 SQM Istanbul. On 18th of December I was contacted by the store letting me know that I was one of the winners and I could purchase the mentioned item by visiting the store on 19th of December between 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.
So on 19th of December I visited the store to purchase my pair which I couldn't.
I went to the store with the e-mail I received from Adidas since I knew that was required for purchasing my pair as it was stated in Adidas's terms and conditions for the raffle but the person who was in charge at the store insisted on seeing my ID and told me that he had to take a photo of it to send it over to Adidas.
I didn't had my ID with me that day since no one informed me that I had to bring it to purchase my pair, so I asked the person in charge if he would accept the e-mail received from Adidas or a picture of my ID which he refused, so I ended up not being able to purchase my own pair.
I informed the person in charge at the store that bringing your ID was not an obligation as it was not even stated in Adidas's published terms and conditions (which is attached to the mail as a picture) for this raffle. I kindly demanded the authorized person to help me with the matter since I couldn't contact Adidas's customer services at 7 p.m. on Saturday but he refused to help me and even threatened me to cancel my application if I insisted. After I told him that I was going to contact Adidas for the matter at hand he got very rude and told me that he couldn't help me because my problem was none of his business , that he was going to return the unbought items to Adidas and even asked me to leave the store. So that day I had to leave the store without being able to purchase my pair.

On Monday, 21st of December, I contacted Adidas's customer service and explained my problem to them, I was told that my complaints were going to be forwarded to someone who was in charge and I should await for a call back. On 22nd of December I called the customer service again since I hadn't received any calls and I was informed that there was nothing that they could have done and I was told that I had to resolve this matter with the store which is ironic because the store forwarded me to Adidas at first place.

As I stated before , the obligation of the winner bringing his ID to purchase his item was not stated in Adidas's terms and conditions, so I went to purchase my pair with the confirmation mail, which I received from Adidas . Also I would like to indicate that I find someone else taking photos of my ID unethical and I am not even sure if it is legal for a store to take photos of its' clients to complete a purchase. I would like to denote that I purchased a pair of Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black back in August 2015 and no one asked for my ID. I would also like to add that Adidas added this term to their terms and conditions after this event for the raffle of Yeezy Boost 350 Oxford Tans.

To conclude, after many tries , I kept receiving the same answer from Adidas Turkey, I could not contact anyone who was in charge and I could not receive any kind of help on this matter so I decided to contact you to convey my complaints and problems.

As a long time customer of Adidas I felt disregarded for the first time , not only did I not get to purchase my pair , I also did not get any kind of help from Adidas and that bothered me the most.

On the other hand, I don't understand why the officially Adidas confirmed stores did not sell the mentioned product in Turkey. Instead the sale has been done through a store named 290 Square Meters which is not a commonly known store compared to Adidas in Istanbul.
I would love to know if this is an official decision by Adidas headquarters.

For me it is a disappointment to face with such situation that an international company and brand like Adidas treats its' customers in such a careless way.

I kindly ask you to offer me a solution which will result in me being able to purchase the product I have already been qualified in this raffle.

Kind Regards,

Can
