Kshitij, the annual techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur, scheduled from 22nd January to 24th January 2016, provides a platform for a confluence of students, academia and the industry. While the competitions at Kshitij prove to be the ultimate test of grit, knowledge and skill, guest lectures and workshops provide an enriching experience for the avid learners. Our glorious journey was recently recognized by UNESCO which is a shining example of the dedication and effort put in year after year by our team
The fest has been graced by the presence of great luminaries who are looked up to for their distinguished contribution in their respective fields. The past editions of Kshitij was fortunate to have lectures by Sir James Mirlees (Nobel laureate in Economics), Prof Larry Wall (Father of PERL Programming, Mr. Richard Stallman (Founder or GNU Linux), Mr. Jimmy Wales (Co-founder of Wikipedia), Dr. Rakesh Sharma (First Indian cosmonaut), Prof. Eric Drexler (Father of Nanotechnology), George Kourounis and Jeremy Bristow (BBC filmmaker and Emmy award winner), Mr. Naseeruddin Shah (critically acclaimed actor) and many more.
Keeping up with the tradition of inviting artists with distinguished backgrounds and illustrious careers, I, on behalf of IIT Kharagpur would like to invite you to Kshitij 2016. We would like you to deliver a guest lecture during Kshitij 2016 in front of the 7000-strong student community of our institute along with thousands of students across the country.
